Photography for me is largely a way to convey the wonder of the world around me, as I see it, to others, hoping they can share in the wonder. Beauty is a large part of this – but also something ineffable beyond this, beyond words. Talking is a large part of my work, and I need to express myself as clearly as possible, so I get plenty of practice at being “verbal”. Basically, though, I think in pictures. With photography I have no intellectual concept, no philosophy in mind. It is all visual intuition, and a refreshing change for “left-brain” me.

I hope my images leave you feeling some of what I feel. The world is many things, but amongst others it is a beautiful, wonderful place.
